UPDATE: Pictures from the Event
Congratulations to the Cosmetology department for once again putting on a spectacular Fashion Show. There was a lot of work that the instructors, staff, and students put into the event–before, during and after the show. A lot of extra effort went into the planning and preparation for this year’s event, and we had a lot of people who donated beautiful items which were raffled off at the end of the show. We raised $560.80 for Tona Sperry, one of our receptionists, who was stricken by brain aneurysms earlier this year. Many thanks to all who donated and bought raffle tickets, and thanks to everyone who came by and supported our event!

Fashion Show Set To Raise Donations for Disabled Co-Worker
The OWATC Cosmetology program will be hosting their annual fall fashion show this Thursday, October 22, 2009 from 5-7 p.m. in the Multi-Purpose building on the main campus located at 200 N Washington Blvd., Ogden, UT. The theme is “You’ve Come A Long Way Baby, Fashion Through The Ages.” Students compete it hair and nail design with full backdrops and accessories to compliment their chosen theme. This event is always a feast for the eyes with the unique and creative talent of the cosmetology department.
This year faculty and students will also use the event to raise funds for a co-worker and cosmetology receptionist, Tona Sperry, who was stricken with three brain aneurysms this past year. She has undergone two surgeries and is now in a wheelchair. All funds raised from the event will be used to help with her medical bills. Many items including quilts, afghans and jewelry will be available for purchase. The public is invited to attend.
