First Group of Students Honored At National Technical Honor Society Induction
Thirty-four students from the Ogden-Weber Tech College were honored at an induction ceremony to the National Technical Honor Society and recognized for their outstanding achievement in academic and leadership skills. President Collette Mercier complimented them on being the first group to be nominated, selected, and honored, and said, “We expect great things from you.”
The evening began with a candle-lighting ceremony emphasizing the commitment to excellence and the importance of career and technical education. Students from a wide variety of programs were recognized at the induction as each student accepted his/her certificate as a new member of this prestigious society. Family, friends, and college staff were present to witness the induction and pay tribute to their success.
A reception was held after the ceremony for students to meet with college personnel and mingle with other colleagues and family. A group photo was taken to record the event and will be displayed in the Student Services building.
