The Ogden-Weber Applied Technology College will celebrate Cinco de Mayo with a number of special activities on Friday, May 5, 2006. Beginning at 12:00 p.m. in the center of campus, a program is scheduled featuring guest speaker City Council Chairman, Jesse Garcia, and the presentation of community service, faculty and scholarship awards. Cultural entertainment will be provided by local musicians, dancers, and singers from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. and the FIRME Image Car Club will have classic cars and customized bicycles on display. Children can also participate with hands-on crafts and games, face painting, and piñatas; and there will be a variety of good food for visitors to enjoy.
