Certificate of Completion
UCAT Certificates of Completion are awarded by the Utah College of Applied Technology for programs that are at a level less than an associate degree, but comprised of 900 clock hours or more. All Certificates of Completion are approved by the Utah State Board of Regents. Students are awarded a certificate of completion when all required courses and competencies listed on the Occupational Training Outline (including all required Critical Workplace Skills courses) are completed. Students are required to apply for a certificate of completion in the Student Records Office SS123.
Certificate of Proficiency
Campus Certificates of Proficiency validate that a set of competencies or a number of courses designed to prepare a student for employment or provide skill upgrade have been completed. Students gaining these certificates earn a set of competencies or take a number of courses designed to prepare them for employment or provide skill upgrade. Students with hours at a level between 600 and 900, may qualify for financial aid. Students are required to apply for a certificate in the Student Records Office SS123.
Certificate Application
Certificates of completion for a program or AAT Degree are awarded to students completing all required core and technical courses listed on their Program Training Outline (PTO). Students who complete their program outline will receive their final transcript at no cost.
How to Apply for a Certificate:
- Apply in the Student Records Office SS123
- Complete a Graduation Application form and present a student I.D. card or valid driver license
- Make sure the application is completely filled out and signed by program advisor, and requesting student
- Take the completed form to the Cashier’s Office and pay the $15.00 graduation fee
- Submit the receipt and application to the Records Office
- Inform the Student Records Office if they have an address change after submitting this application
Things to Keep in Mind:
- Degrees/Certificates take ten working days and will be mailed to you
- Students with a financial obligation to the College will not receive their certificate, diploma or transcript
