Certificate Outlines

Each training program has a date-sensitive certificate outline that contains a list of the required courses necessary to complete the certificate. The outline also lists the length of the certificate clock hours, the approximate time each course should take, and any special requirements of the certificate. If students are sponsored, special approval may be needed from sponsors to take optional courses. Students must be officially assigned to the specific certificate in order to receive a completion certificate. If a student would like to receive a completion certificate in a program not officially assigned to, a counselor must be seen to declare and activate the new training certificate.

Students continuously enrolled in programs that are 900 hours or fewer have two years from initial enrollment date to complete their program. Students continuously enrolled in programs with more than 900 hours have three years from initial enrollment date to complete their program. After the allotted time, students are required to change to the most current program certificate. Students who have been out of school for six months or more shall be required to upgrade their assigned certificate to the current version, which may make some of the previously completed classes obsolete. Graduation/ Completion of Certificate Outline

Requests for a completion certificate are processed through the Records Office. Students must first meet with their program advisor to verify completion and receive a signed and dated completion evaluation to take to the Registrar. The Registrar will verify that all courses are completed and any special requirements are met. The completion certificate request may take seven to ten days to process. A $10 fee will be assessed for each certificate issued to students.

Graduation ceremonies are held bi-annually in the spring and fall. Students who complete their certificates will be invited to the next graduation ceremony.
