What's Happening in the Program

Student Story #1: There is not enough that I can say about Lee Holt and the Real Estate programl at Ogden-Weber Tech College.  After I passed the licensing exam I made an appointment to meet with Lee and discuss questions he said I would want to ask to potential brokers. I left Lee’s office with four pages of questions and advice. Lee urged me to meet with at least three potential brokers to ensure that my needs would be met as well as the broker that I would be signing with. I eventually signed with a broker who I am more than satisfied who also took Lee’s Real Estate Agent class as well as the Real Estate Broker class. He also urged me to volunteer to be on my local planning commision and chamber of commerece so that I may become a better agent and be able to help my community grow. His experience in real estate is invaluable in the classroom setting. I learned so much from his experiences that I feel more than confident that my new career in real estate will be fulfilling in many different ways. Lee always had an open door policy and I would find myself in his office asking questions and Lee was always willing to not only answer the question but give me the tools to find the answer as well. I can never thank Lee Holt enough for the knowledge that he has given me and advice to help further my career. I urge anyone interested in becoming a Real Estate Agent to meet with Lee Holt. Call him and setup a time to meet with him and have all your questions answered…you will be glad you did. Sincerely, R. Roberts Student Story #2: The current housing market, recently separated from the Military and being new to the area were just some of the worries I had about my new career path as a Real Estate Agent.  A friend of mine from the military who happened to be stationed here at Hill AFB had just received her Real Estate License and was loving every minute of it.  She encouraged me to attend Ogden-Weber Tech College and highly recommended Mr. Lee Holt to be my instructor. As the first day of class began, I knew I had made the right choice.  Mr. Holt began the class as he would the remainder of the course, with an ice breaking joke.  His great sense of humor, high energy, endless knowledge and experience and above all passion for what he did was exactly what I was looking for.  Mr. Holt explained and shared past experiences, good and bad in order for us to not only grasp the material, but learn from them. Once I completed the course and passed both the National and State tests, Mr.. Holt took time to speak with me one-on-one in order to find out what I was looking for in a brokerage. Not only did he suggest what companies I should talk to based on what I told him, but gave me good pointers and questions that I should ask during my interview.  I am now part of a great brokerage and excited to start my new career.  I thank Mr. Holt and just as my friend did, hope to recommend him to future agents.
