
The Computer Aided Drafting Technology I program prepares individuals for entry-level employment as a drafter or drafter assistant. Students will develop basic manual and computer aided drafting skills and have the option of choosing electives from a variety of specialty areas. In these specialty areas, you can learn civil, structural steel, architectural, piping, electrical & mechanical drafting using a variety of advanced software that applies to the specific need.
As a drafter, you will be working with engineers and design drafters in preparing a variety of drawings used to make equipment, parts, and devices for business and industry. You will be using a variety of computer drafting programs to complete your drawings.
