Your Instructor(s)

Wayne Western – Because I have continued to work in the welding industry while I’ve been teaching welding, I have over 30 years doing both. I have owned my own welding businesses and worked for many of the local companies. I have a degree in welding technology and have been a CWI and a CWE for almost 20 years. In the welding program we work closely with our local companies and are good at finding a place for our students to work.

Tyler Smith – Hello, I’m Tyler Smith. I have ten years of industry experience. I have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Manufacturing/Welding Engineering. I have the AWS (American Welding Society) CWI (Certified Welding Inspector) and CWE (Certified Welding Educator). One of my favorite parts of teaching is when all of the students hard work pays off and they can finally see that they can do it. I would enjoy teaching you the art and skill of welding.
