Nail Technician

As a Nail Technician, you will be working in a beauty salon or nail shop performing customer services such as manicures, pedicures, and applying artificial nails. Upkeep and repair of artificial nails is a skill requirement as well as working with all types of people efficiently and maintaining successful customer relations. As a Nail Technician, you will be required to earn and maintain a state license. Further information about licensing can be found online at www.dopl.utah.gov [1].The approximate completion time for the Nail Technician Certificate is 300 hours or 3 months at 30 hours per week and maintaining 100% progress.

 

Admission Requirements

There are no specific admission requirements for this certificate.

  • High school students and adults seeking federal financial aid may need to complete additional testing.
  • Students are encouraged to meet with an academic counselor before enrolling to discuss abilites, needs, and interests.

Note:  Students need to purchase their books and kit in the college Bookstore prior to their first day of class.

Main Campus Salon Hours:

M-Th 9:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. F 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Roy Campus Final Touch Salon Hours:

M-Th 9:30 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. F 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
