Written Certification Testing

Walk-in, first-come, first-served basis (no appointment necessary)

Monday-Thursday
8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (Last test given at 3:00 p.m.)

Tuesday and Wednesday
8:00 am. – 7:00 p.m. (Last test given at 5:00 p.m.)

Friday
8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. (Last test given at 1:00 p.m.)

Cost:  $35 (each test)

The state exam consists of 100 questions, and students are allowed up to two hours to test. All tests are on the computer. Paper test allowed only if approved by the UNAR.

Students must bring the following:

• Valid picture ID
• State voucher

The test can be taken a maximum of three times

Skills Certification Testing

Individuals must call to schedule a testing appointment.

Wednesday and Friday*
8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. (last appointment at 12:00 p.m.)

Thursday*
12:00 – 4:00 p.m. (Last appointment at 3:00 p.m.)

*Schedule may change without notice.

The skills exam consists of beginning/ending procedures, hand washing, vital signs, and five random skills from the UNAR Candidate Handbook (www.utahcna.com).

Students must:

• Wear scrubs and closed toe shoes
• Have hair pulled back
• Bring a valid picture ID
• Bring a valid UNAR voucher to test
